About James Lam

James C. Lam is a risk management consultant, board director, and former chief risk officer. He is President of James Lam & Associates, a risk management consulting firm that serves clients across all industry sectors. James also serves as independent director of Blackrock iShares Funds and the FAIR Institute. Previously, James served as a board director and chair of the risk oversight committee of E*TRADE Financial and E*TRADE Bank. He also served as chief risk officer of Fidelity Investments, president of ERisk, and partner of Oliver Wyman.

James is the author of Enterprise Risk Management (Wiley, 2003; second edition, 2014, and Implementing Enterprise Risk Management (Wiley, 2017).
