APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 STEP PROGRAMME ARE NOW OPEN

The Step Programme, which has been running on the Island since 2002, matches local organisations with undergraduates in their second or penultimate year of university for project-based placements during the summer holidays.

 

KEY DATES:
  • Applications Close: 31st May 2024 (applications must be received by midnight) 
  • Placements Start: 1st July 2024*
  • Placements End: 23rd August 2024*
  • Step Final: 30th August 2024

*Please note: Student applicants must be available for the entirety of the eight week project period, and also to attend the Step Final.

TAKING PART 

All organisations can experience the benefits of a Step project, but in order for it to be successful it is necessary to have:

  • a set project for an undergraduate to undertake;
  • a suitable place for the student to work;
  • appropriate supervisory and management arrangements.

Please note: The host organisation will be invoiced for the cost of the student based on Living Wage.
