Digital Isle of Man, an Executive Agency for the Department for Enterprise, has recently completed the expressions of interest process for the appointment of a new Executive Board. The agency was created in 2018 with each of the original board members terms closing in May this year.

In addition, they will be joined by new Board Members; Country Head, HSBC Isle of Man Jaime Amoedo, General Manager of Derivco Isle of Man Greg Ansara, CEO of Stacuity Inc Mike Bromwich, Group CEO of Capital International Group Greg Ellison, CEO of SolutionsHub Lee Hills, CEO of Manx Telecom Gary Lamb and Global Head of IT at Siemens Energy Industrial Apps Solutions Joanne Thurlow.
The Non-Executive Board is chaired by Dr Phil Adcock, appointed in January this year, accompanied by the Agency’s Chief Executive Lyle Wraxall, and political member Daphne Caine, MHK.
Digital Isle of Man was created to develop and implement a strategy which will support sustainable economic growth and establish the Isle of Man as a centre of international excellence and innovations for digital industries.
Dr Phil Adcock, Chair for Digital Isle of Man, said:
‘We are excited to welcome our new board members, they will bring a wealth of knowledge between them and invaluable experience of the digital sector.
‘We were pleased to see a large number of applicants apply through expressions of interest and it is unfortunate we cannot invite them all to join us. The candidates were chosen based on their skills and experience across a number of sectors that will best support our ongoing strategic objectives whilst focussing on positioning the Island as a centre of excellence for digital industries. I have no doubt, that by bringing together some of the Island’s most experienced and influential members of the digital economy we will be able to strive forwards with our future strategy’
Laurence Skelly, Minister for Enterprise, commented:
‘The Digital Agency continues to support a huge number of on-island businesses whilst looking to create a strong ecosystem for off-island opportunities.
‘Looking at the new members being added to the board, I have no doubt they will each bring their own expertise and depth of experience to support and accelerate one of our Island’s fastest growing sectors. The digital landscape continues to evolve and it is important we continue to position our Island as a progressive, dynamic place to live and work.’
The new board will meet and be inducted in June 2021.
