ISLE OF MAN COMPANY MEMORY LANE GAMES FEATURES IN GLOBAL GOOGLE CAMPAIGN
25 March 2025

Isle of Man-based Memory Lane Games, the provider of a leading app for dementia and Alzheimer's engagement, is the first company to be featured in Google Play’s 2025 global #WeArePlay campaign, which recognises impact apps from around the world.
For the #WeArePlay campaign, Google creates 3 minute films and a blog showcasing the inspiring stories behind apps that are making a real difference in people’s lives.
CEO and Co-Founder of Memory Lane Games, Bruce Elliott said:
"To be recognised by Google and chosen to feature in the #WeArePlay campaign out of millions of apps available on the Play store is truly amazing. This is incredible recognition not just for our team, but for the entire dementia care community we serve. The film crew really enjoyed their 3 day visit to the Island in January and I’m delighted with the way in which they have captured our story and the Island’s charm. This global exposure will help more people discover Memory Lane Games and, ultimately, support our mission to improve the lives of those living with dementia and their caregivers. A huge thank you to our Isle of Man filming locations—Hospice Isle of Man, the Crosby Pub, and The Engine House—for their warm welcome.”
Memory Lane Games uses reminiscence therapy-inspired games to spark memories, ease anxiety, and support caregivers to re-direct and create positive interactions. The app is available on the Google Play App Store and the Apple App Store with a 14-day free trial. An Enterprise version of the app is also available for those working in dementia care.
The story of how the app came about is now live across Google Play’s channels, including YouTube, the Google Play Developer community and on Google’s #weareplay campaign website.
